The apple boy.

Today this Argentinian guy came into my work. We don’t really have a reception here so it can be kind of awkward for some people when they walk in the door, but he just strolled right in and stopped by my desk. He was carrying a cardboard box. He asked for my boss, he said he had a gift for him.

I wasn’t sure exactly what was going on, but my boss was out of the office today so I told him. He asked for the other boss. That boss was also out of the office. I told him that too. He asked for the third person in charge. He reached into the box and pulled out an apple. He gave it to the third in charge. Then he got out more apples and distributed them to my colleagues, before dropping one to me on his way out.

The apples had stickers on them:

“Meet me at www.theappleboy.com”

Intrigued, I went to the website. It turns out this guys name is Tito, he’s 22, and he’s recently moved to New Zealand and he needs a job. A job in advertising. Amazing self promotion! Amazing. So proactive. The site is cool too, it has a great video on it that explains his whole background. It’s the ultimate CV. I’ve heard he’s been to a few agencies around the place so I have no doubt that he’ll be snapped up shortly.
